The Wagner Competition intercooler kit has been developed for the VW Polo AW GTI 2.0 TSI and improves engine cooling, minimizes back pressure, and ensures a performance improvement.
The Competition core (Tube Fin) meet 600 mm x 167 [101] mm x 125 [90] mm in staircase design with a total volume of 11.14 liters, what a 24% larger inflow surface area (1002 cm²) and 73% more net volume yields compared to the standard intercooler. The cast aluminum Terminal cabinets have been optimized in the CAD system using CFD simulations for ideal internal airflow with minimal back pressure. The connection diameters are Ø60 mm at intake and exhaust. With a weight of only 7.3 kg The intercooler remains lightweight. An anti-corrosion coating with excellent heat conduction ensures durable cooling. Installation is plug & play using the original mounting points. The kit also fits the Audi A1 GB 40 TFSI, where modifications within the bumper are required.
