Origin of Racingline

RacingLine, originally founded in 1997 as Volkswagen Motorsport UK and wholly owned by Volkswagen Group AG in Germany, initially focused on the British Rally Championship. Their first competitive car was the Golf 3 'Kit Car' with a 2.0 16v engine producing 285 hp. With this car, they won the British Rally Championship in 1997. Later, in 1999, RacingLine introduced the Golf 4 'Kit Car' in both petrol and diesel versions, with the diesel version marking the first time TDI was used in the BRC.

From rally to circuit racing

RacingLine shifted its focus from rallying to circuit racing in 2002 with the Volkswagen Racing Cup Championship. Their first track car was a Golf 4 with a 1.9 TDI diesel engine, achieving a world first with the first victory in a sprint race format for a diesel car.

Headquartered in Milton Keynes, United Kingdom, RacingLine is a Tier 1 partner of the Volkswagen Group. They are known for supplying the Volkswagen Racing motorsport program since 1997. This program gave rise to their popular Motorsport & Performance Parts range, which is now sold worldwide. In addition to their Performance Parts program, RacingLine remains active in motorsport, including a partnership with Audi Sport, Volkswagen Motorsport, and SEAT Sport for the TCR program, and the management and promotion of the FIA's Formula 4 Championship in the UK.

Racingline events

RacingLine Events, their in-house events company, is also a Tier-1 supplier for the Volkswagen Group and organizes hundreds of corporate events per year for various automotive brands, ranging from international vehicle launches to high-performance driving events and training sessions.
