The Wagner Competition intercooler kit has been developed for the VAG 2.0 TSI EA888 Gen.4 engines (such as the VW Golf 8 GTI) and improves cooling performance with a noticeable performance increase. With net dimensions of 620 mm x 440 mm x 65 mm and a volume of 17.7 liters offers this intercooler 97% more volume compared to the series cooler (9 liters), and is now supplied including a parts certificate.
The newly developed Competition high-performance mesh (Tube Fin) ensures excellent cooling performance and sufficient airflow to adjacent components. The cast aluminum end cabinets have been optimized with CAD technology and CFD simulations, resulting in 57% lower back pressure which mechanically relieves the turbo. The intercooler features a high-quality anti-corrosion coating with excellent heat-conducting properties, weighs only 9.2 kg, and has an inlet and outlet of Ø70 mm. The installation is plug-and-play.
