The Wagner Competition Gen.2 intercooler kit is a high-quality redesign of the original Audi OEM intercooler, specially developed for the Audi RS6 C5 4.2 BiTurbo (4B). The dimensions and efficiency of the core have been increased and the design of the end tank has been optimized to eliminate OEM bottlenecks, resulting in higher flow capacity and better charge cooling properties.
The kit utilizes the latest Tube Fin technology for the core, combined with cast aluminum and CNC-machined end tanks for reliable air-to-air charge cooling. The high-performance core measures 255 mm x 230 mm x 105 mm and processes an air volume of 6158 cm³, compared to the OEM dimensions of 250 mm x 205 mm x 65 mm and a volume of 3331 cm³. The CAD/FEM-optimized cast aluminum end tanks are combined with lightweight carbon composite charge air ducts. The kit retains the OEM mounting points, offers 39% more intercooler surface area and 98% greater airflow than the OEM, and comes with a new bumper intake grille for increased airflow, while retaining the OEM fog lamp mounts. Installation is plug-and-play.
