The Wagner EVO3 Competition intercooler kit has been specially developed for the BMW Z4 (E89) sDrive 35i and 35is with N54 and N55 engines and is designed for high tuning levels and racing applications. The intercooler has core dimensions of 510 mm x 303 mm x 180 mm and a total volume of 20.65 liters, accounting for a 162% larger inflow surface area and no less than 182% more loading volume compared to the standard intercooler.
The heart of the intercooler is a high-quality Tube Fin core with internal turbulators. The cast aluminum end boxes have been optimized using CFD simulations in a CAD system for maximum internal airflow, ensuring excellent cooling performance with minimal back pressure. Despite its size, the intercooler weighs only 13.2 kg. The connection diameters at the inlet and outlet have been increased to Ø70 mmThe kit includes reinforced silicone hoses and removes the original snap connections. An anti-corrosion coating ensures a long-lasting and effective cooling effect. Installation is plug-and-play using the original mounting points; due to the dimensions, minor adjustments to the radiator support may be required. The intercooler has been tested up to 6 bar and is completely pressure-resistant.
