The Wagner Gen.2 intercooler for the Audi 4.2 BiTurbo (RS6+/US) is a redesign of the original Audi OEM intercooler. The core has been enlarged and the end tanks have been optimized to eliminate bottlenecks, resulting in higher flow capacity and better cooling of the charge air. The intercooler utilizes tube-fin technology with cast aluminum and CNC-machined end tanks for reliable air-to-air cooling.
With a core of 255 mm x 230 mm x 105 mm does this intercooler offer an air volume of 6158 cm³, compared to the OEM dimensions of 250 mm x 205 mm x 65 mm and 3331 cm³. This translates to 39% more surface area and 98% greater airflow compared to the standard intercooler. Lightweight carbon composite ducts and CAD/FEM-optimized end tanks ensure maximum airflow, while the new bumper intake delivers high airflow even at higher speeds. Thanks to the OEM+ fit, installation is simple.
