To address the weaknesses of the original turbocharger, TurboSystems developed a custom-designed reinforced compressor wheel with a stronger backing, replaced the original plain bearing system with a dual ceramic ball bearing system, and added an enlarged shaft with an improved 9-blade turbine wheel design for high exhaust gas flow. These modifications significantly improve the turbocharger's performance and reliability.
