The TTE800+ is the first hybrid performance upgrade from TheTurboEngineers for the 4.0 TFSI platform and offers a clear step up in power while maintaining strong response. This upgrade is designed for Audi RS6, RS7, S8, S7 and S6 C7, as well as the Bentley Continental GT V8 / V8S.
For the TTE800+ the original compressors are replaced by larger TTE billet compressor wheels with extended tip technologyThe compressor housing is CNC machined to optimal tolerances to maximize the use of the new compressor profile. On the turbine side, a cropped (clipped) turbine Applied via a special TTE process, the blade tips are carefully modified to minimize stress. This increases gas flow, reduces back pressure, and lowers exhaust gas temperatures, safely enabling higher boost pressure.
The added benefit of this process is the reduced rotating mass, which reduces inertia and improves spooling. The whole thing is rounded off with the TTE upgrade bearing package for sustainable performance under higher loads.
Balancing
Every TTE800+ turbo is first low-speed balanced up to 2800 rpm in multiple planes. Then the complete CHRA high-speed VSR balanced up to 250,000 rpm on TTE's in-house VSR machine. This process results in a balance quality that is well above OEM level. Each turbo is delivered with a numbered balance test result document.
