The TTE480+ is TheTurboEngineers' ultimate OEM+ hybrid turbo upgrade for 2.0 TFSI EA113 engines, such as those found in the Audi S3 8P and VW Golf 5/6 GTI. Designed for over 480 hp with an extremely broad power curve, fast spooling, and complete plug-and-play installation, this turbo delivers the perfect blend of everyday drivability and track performance – a true Stage 3+ hybrid.
The TTE480+ starts as a brand-new, original BorgWarner K04-064, which TTE completely reworks. The standard compressor wheel is replaced by a larger billet 7+7 wheel with improved aerodynamic geometry. The turbine side receives a completely new 9-bladed TTE High-Flow turbine and shaft, resulting in significantly lower backpressure and lower exhaust gas temperatures compared to the original K04 or TTE420.
Additionally, the exhaust manifold is CNC-ported to the head flange to ensure a smooth transition between the cylinder head and exhaust runner, maximizing gas flow and further increasing efficiency. A reinforced motorsport bearing system and an upgraded actuator with a spring mechanism ensure maximum durability and rapid response. Each turbocharger is individually high-speed balanced (VSR) up to 250,000 rpm and comes with an official test document.
