The TTE300 upgrade turbo has been developed for the MINI R56 and offers a perfect balance of performance, response, and OEM reliability. With the right hardware and software, this turbo proven good for 300+ hp on 98 RON, while he is a real OEM+ driving experience preserves.
The basis of the TTE300 is a brand new original BorgWarner twin-scroll turbocharger, which is completely dismantled and rebuilt by TheTurboEngineersThe turbo is equipped with a much larger TTE billet compressor wheel of Extended Tip Technology, which provides a very wide compressor map and exceptionally high flow for its size, without compromising response.
The compressor housing is CNC re-profiled in-house for optimal tolerances and maximum efficiency. Also the compressor inlet is CNC machined to reduce turbulence and increase air velocity. On the exhaust side, a larger 9-blade high-flow turbine applied, with a modified turbine housing for higher flow and lower back pressure.
For durability under higher loads, TTE uses a 360° BorgWarner motorsport journal bearing, combined with a spring-loaded original BorgWarner actuator. Assembly is plug & play, but software recalibration is mandatory.
Each turbo is manufactured according to TTE standards multiply balanced, inclusive high-speed VSR balancing up to 250,000 rpm, and comes with a numbered balance test report.
