The intercooler is designed as a plug-and-play solution, meaning it’s easy to install without any complicated modifications. Using a standard tool kit, you can install the intercooler yourself in an afternoon. The IE FDS intercooler features an exceptionally large core, almost twice the size of the stock intercooler, allowing more air to be cooled for optimal performance. It’s available in both raw aluminum and a stylish black finish, so you can choose the one that best suits your car. The unique FDS (Flow Distribution System) technology ensures air is evenly distributed throughout the entire core, significantly reducing intake temperatures and delivering more power. The cast aluminum end tanks ensure a perfect fit with the factory air lines, with no additional modifications required. Furthermore, the intercooler is ready for water/meth injection with a built-in ⅛ NPT bung. Besides improved cooling, the larger intercooler also drastically reduces pressure loss. This means the turbocharger has to work less hard to reach the required boost levels, leading to higher efficiency and more consistent performance. The result is a noticeable increase in power and reliability, especially during extended acceleration and intensive use.
