We aimed to create a turbocharger that spools up quickly, delivers strong torque, and performs reliably. We adopted the IS38's plain bearing CHRA and improved it for larger wheels and high performance. We also enlarged the thrust bearings, collars, and oil passages to handle the increased loads and ensure efficient operation. After extensive global testing, this turbocharger can produce up to 600 crankshaft horsepower, with 520-530 whp on E85 and 430-460 whp on 93 octane, ideal for street use with quick spoolup and robust mid-range power. We recommend keeping the boost at 25-28 psi to prevent efficiency loss, adjusting lower if necessary due to fuel or engine limitations.
NOTE: Always follow the correct procedure for checking/adjusting the wastegate actuator when installing the turbo! Recommended wastegate actuator voltage: 3.4V-3.6V
Always pre-fill the turbocharger, change the engine oil and filter, and follow proper break-in procedures.
