The Akrapovic Evolution Line (Titanium) exhaust system for the 2020-2021 Audi S3 Sportback (8Y) is crafted using lightweight, race-proven materials, including titanium for the muffler and left pipe section, and carbon fiber for two sets of newly designed, hand-crafted tailpipes. This results in a weight savings of over 41% compared to the standard stock system. The Evolution Line (Titanium) features a valve—with a housing cast at the Akrapovic foundry—external to the muffler. This design feature, with perfect gas flow, allows the sound to be tailored to deliver an Akrapovic sound effect. This results in a smooth, rich sound during normal driving, with a deep and sporty tone for more dynamic driving of the Audi S3. The power increase is 4 kW (5.4 hp) at 4,350 rpm, with a torque increase of 8.8 Nm at 3,900 rpm. These figures were measured on the Akrapovic dyno compared to an Audi S3 with a standard stock exhaust.
