Airtec Motorsport Stage 3 intercooler upgrade for the Peugeot 207 GTi 1.6 turbo, developed to significantly improve cooling performance compared to the original intercooler. This is especially important for tuned 207 GTi's, where higher turbo pressure causes sharply rising intake temperatures.
To overcome the limitations of the OEM intercooler within the available space behind the bumper, this Stage 3 intercooler utilizes a high-flow twin-pass core design that wider, higher and deeper is performed than standard. This results in a very large increase in frontal area and a significant capacity increase, which makes optimal use of the available wind.
Despite the larger size, there remains sufficient air flow towards the top of the radiator, which is essential for reliable operation in warmer climates. In combination with high-flow one-piece molded cast end tanks the air flow is distributed efficiently and the total cooling capacity increases significantly.
The intercooler fits neatly behind the original bumper and requires no cutting or drilling requiredThe installation is complete reversible and can be returned to original without any problems. The complete set comes with Pro Hoses silicone hoses and piping, all necessary mounting materials and clear assembly instructions.
The intercooler is finished in a Pro-Series Black finish and is available with or without Airtec logo.
Tested on a roller bench: This Stage 3 intercooler has been tested at AmD Tuning in Essex and shows a very strong reduction in intake temperatures compared to standard.
