The Airtec Motorsport oil cooler kit for the Ford Focus ST225 Mk2 and Focus RS Mk2 has been developed for drivers who want to keep their oil temperatures better under control during sporty driving, track use, and at higher power levels.
The original cooling systems are designed for normal use on public roads. However, as soon as the power is increased or the car is subjected to heavy loads for an extended period, oil temperatures can rise significantly. High oil temperatures reduce the lubricating properties of the oil and can eventually affect the reliability of the engine.
To address this problem, Airtec has developed its own proprietary oil cooler package, in which every component is specifically designed for a perfect fit and a high-quality finish. The oil cooler is mounted behind the grille for maximum exposure to cool airflow and can be positioned on either side of the grille to maintain airflow to the intake system.
Central to the kit is a high-quality Earl's TEMP-A-CURE™ oil cooler, a proven motorsport component that combines excellent cooling performance with low weight. Additionally, the kit comes with various CNC-machined billet parts, high-quality Aeroquip couplings, and black Pro-Lite oil lines for maximum reliability.
The result is a complete oil cooler upgrade that helps keep oil temperatures stable during heavy load, ensuring performance remains more consistent and the engine is better protected.
NB: On a pre-facelift Focus ST225, material behind the grille must be removed to create sufficient space for the installation of the oil cooler. Allow for approximately two hours of additional installation time. Without this modification, the kit will not fit pre-facelift models.
