Maximum cooling within a limited space – this Airtec side-mount intercooler has been developed specifically for the Renault Megane MK4 RS and is aimed at drivers seeking the highest levels of cooling efficiency and reliability for fast road and track use . As Renault Sport prioritised the radiator for the MK4 RS, the original intercooler is compact and deeply positioned on the left-hand side. This presented Airtec with a clear challenge in developing a larger, more effective upgrade. The solution lies in a cleverly engineered stepped core design , which has achieved a 42% increase in total capacity compared to the original intercooler, combined with an increased frontal area to make optimal use of the available airflow. The intercooler features CAD-designed, one-piece cast end tanks that ensure even and efficient airflow on both the inlet and outlet sides. As with the original setup, an additional air scoop been integrated to direct maximum airflow to the core.
The intercooler is finished in a high-quality powder-coated black and is supplied as a direct replacement . The kit includes a Pro Hoses silicone top pipe , while the bottom pipe connects to the original boost pipe and clamp. All mounting hardware and clear installation instructions are included.
