To overcome the limitations of the OEM intercooler within the available space behind the bumper, Airtec opted for a high-flow twin-pass core designThis core is wider, higher and deeper than standard, resulting in a significantly larger frontal area and a significant increase in capacityThis allows the available wind to be used optimally.
Despite the larger dimensions, there remains sufficient airflow to the top of the radiator, which is essential for use in warmer climates. In combination with high-flow one-piece molded cast end tanks the air flow is guided efficiently and the overall cooling performance increases significantly.
The intercooler fits neatly behind the original bumper and requires no cutting or drilling requiredThe installation is complete reversible and can be returned to original without any problems. The complete set comes with Pro Hoses silicone connectors, all necessary mounting materials and clear assembly instructions with images.
The intercooler is finished in a Pro-Series Black finish and is available with or without Airtec logo.
