Airtec Motorsport intercooler upgrade for the Mini Cooper S (2.0 Turbo / F56), developed as a direct bolt-on upgrade to lower intake temperatures and keep performance stable in both standard and tuned vehicles.
During an ECU remap, turbo pressure and other parameters are increased, leading to higher intake temperatures and ultimately power loss. By installing a larger and more efficient intercooler, these temperatures are reduced, allowing power to be better retained and the engine to operate more safely under load.
This intercooler is designed as a direct replacement of the OEM part and uses a 60mm thick bar-and-plate core. In combination with high-flow cast end tanks Without sharp corners, the airflow is optimized and the cooling capacity is significantly increased.
The intercooler fits without modifications and is suitable for both pre-facelift as well as LCI/facelift models.
NB: this intercooler is not suitable for JCW models.
