Airtec Motorsport intercooler upgrade for the Mini JCW F56 pre-LCI of B48 engine.
In tuned cars, increased turbo pressure leads to higher intake temperatures, which quickly leads to power loss and additional stress on the engine. By installing a upgraded intercooler Charge temperatures are lowered, resulting in more consistent power and safer engine operation. This results in more usable power and improved reliability, especially under sustained load.
In order to achieve a significant performance improvement within the limited space behind the bumper, Airtec opted for a higher and deeper stepped core designThis construction ensures that significant increase in capacity and a bigger one frontal surface, so that the available airflow is optimally utilized. The intercooler is equipped with high-flow one-piece cast end tanks, which ensure efficient air conduction and minimal pressure drop.
The set is finished in a high-quality black powder-coated finish and is supplied as complete direct-fit kit, including all mounting materials and clear assembly instructions.
