The Airtec Stage 2 Intercooler for the Ford Focus Mk3 ST increases performance by lowering the intake air temperature compared to the original intercooler. This is particularly important for braked vehicles. With conical end tanks, this specification has been tested up to 540 hp at an intake temperature of 38 degrees.
The solution within the limited space behind the bumper is based on a high-flow single-pass core which is wider, higher, and deeper than the original. This results in a significantly larger frontal area and a much larger volume, allowing the available airflow to be optimally utilized.
The 60 mm bar-and-plate core is proven on the track and is combined with Cast Airtec end tanks for improved airflow and an exceptionally strong construction. The air-ram air intake forces the airflow through the core.
Despite the larger size, the kit fits neatly behind the original bumper and the entire assembly can be easily returned to standard. The intercooler connects to the original hoses and the comprehensive mounting kit includes all the correct mounting hardware and an installation manual. The finish is Pro-Series Satin Black, optionally provided with an Airtec logo free of charge.

NB: For installation, the original Ford grille shutters must be removed. These can be easily unscrewed, after which the wiring is attached to the supplied Airtec mounting bracket.
