The Airtec Motorsport Intercooler for the Ford Focus Mk4 ST is a front-mount intercooler upgrade for modified vehicles, developed for track use and sporty street use. The intercooler is developed and manufactured at the Airtec headquarters in the United Kingdom.
Behind the front bumper of the Focus Mk4, the available space is limited. Airtec makes full use of that space with a stepped-core design that proceeds from 85 mm to 35 mmAs a result, the total volume increases substantially compared to the original intercooler, and the frontal surface area also grows significantly, allowing the available airflow to be utilized optimally.
The core is combined with high-flow one-piece cast end tanks and a internal air duct which directs the airflow correctly and efficiently through the core. The result is significantly higher efficiency and a larger volume than the original unit.
The intercooler connects to the original boost pipes and is with billet mounting brackets of our own design, easily secured in place. The comprehensive mounting kit contains all the correct mounting materials and a step-by-step assembly manual. The entire unit can be easily converted back to standard. The finish is Pro-Series Black, optionally provided with an Airtec logo free of charge.
NB: The intercooler fits neatly behind the original bumper, but limited cutting is required for installation.
