Airtec Motorsport ultimate specification intercooler for the Mini Cooper S R53 of 1.6 supercharged engineThis set replaces the original top mount intercooler by a large front mount intercooler for improved airflow and more stable performance during intensive use.
The switch to a front mount design creates a much larger frontal area, allowing the intercooler to cool more effectively, even under high loads and in warmer climates. At the same time, sufficient airflow is maintained towards the upper part of the radiator, which is essential for a balanced cooling package.
The set comes as a complete mounting kit, inclusive hard pipes, silicone couplings, aluminum connecting tubes and all necessary mounting materials to connect to the original oval inlets and outlets from the R53.
Important: this concerns a custom installation. For mounting, the air conditioning is removed and is slight adjustment under the hood necessary. This intercooler is therefore intended for projects where performance takes priority over comfort.
