The Airtec Motorsport Enclosed Induction Kit is the shielded version of the intake system for the Ford Focus Mk4 ST, suitable for track use and sporty street use. The kit was developed in-house at the Airtec headquarters in the United Kingdom.
The goal was a complete solution that improves the original intake system: increased flow while maintaining low intake temperatures, a more direct response, and simultaneous gains in sound and appearance under the hood. The heart of the kit is a large, free-flowing cotton air filter that is housed in a four-part shieldingIn addition, a replacement aluminium inlet pipe included.
The laser-cut heat shields form a barrier against engine heat, so that the filter does not suffer from heat soak in the engine compartment. The filter is via the original front air intake continuously supplied with cold air. The result is more power, a more direct throttle response, an enhanced intake sound, and a more attractive engine compartment.
