The Airtec Motorsport Gen2 CAIS (Cold Air Induction System) for the Ford Focus ST225 Mk2 is the result of more than 12 months of development, testing, and optimization. Compared to the earlier Gen1 version, this second generation features a larger airbox, improved airflow and even better protection against heat soak, whereby the system delivers demonstrably better performance.
Inside the fully enclosed airbox is a large Airtec Motorsport Group A-style cotton air filter that draws in fresh air exclusively from the original air intake at the front of the car. This keeps intake temperatures as low as possible and prevents warm air from being drawn in from the engine compartment.
Depending on the vehicle configuration, power gains of 10 to 18 hp possible. Additionally, you benefit from improved throttle response, a sportier induction sound, and a much neater appearance of the engine bay.
The kit comes complete with ECU relocation brackets that allow the ECU to be safely positioned behind the left headlight. High-quality Pro Hoses silicone hoses, stainless steel hose clamps, mounting hardware, and a comprehensive installation manual are also included.
Optionally, a choice can be made for a Airtec Motorsport ECU cover for an extra sleek OEM+ finish.
NB: Black, red, and blue silicone hoses are generally available from stock. Other colors are produced specifically to order.
