Oil containment tanks are essential preventative additions to ensure that the performance and efficiency of Direct Injection engines do not deteriorate over time.
AIRTEC Motorsport's solution for developing a catch can kit specifically for the Yaris model utilizes the available space to seamlessly integrate into the engine compartment. It features a high-quality, milled bracket, finished in a matte black powder coat, that neatly secures the catch can.
The tank itself has an internal separator and dipstick, and can be detached for easy maintenance. It comes with a comprehensive mounting kit containing all necessary hardware and accessories, as well as a detailed installation guide.
Why do I need a holding tank?
The original oil drain setup can, over time, cause problems with carbon buildup in the engine's intake system. This forms a greasy sludge that coats parts of the intake and intake valves, reducing airflow and thus performance and efficiency.
Once formed, it's a costly process to clean, so it makes sense to take preventative measures to prevent carbon buildup. A containment tank also filters harmful contaminants before they can reach the intake system.
NOTE: The bracket will need to be modified to fit the Eventuri intake kit.
