The Airtec Motorsport Induction Kit for the Ford Focus Mk3 1.0 EcoBoost has been developed to improve airflow to the engine, amplify the turbo sound, and make the driving experience noticeably sportier. This upgrade replaces the original, restrictive plastic airbox with a much freer-breathing system that is a better fit for both standard and lightly tuned vehicles.
Due to the improved airflow, the engine can breathe more efficiently, resulting in a power gain of approximately 5 to 10 hp compared to the original airbox. In addition, the engine responds faster to throttle movements and the character of the 1.0 EcoBoost becomes clearly more lively.
The kit uses a large air filter in combination with a powder-coated aluminium heat shield constructionCold air is continuously directed to the filter via the included 80 mm cold air feed, keeping intake air temperatures as low as possible.
Optional Pro Hoses Induction Hose: With this product, you can opt for an extra Pro Hoses induction hose. This high-quality silicone hose replaces the original intake hose and is recommended due to its superior durability, superior strength, and greater resistance to deformation under load. Especially for tuned vehicles, this represents a valuable upgrade compared to the standard hose.
In addition to the performance gain, this kit provides a much sportier sound. The intake sound becomes clearly more audible, as does the characteristic dump valve "pssshh" The sound becomes more noticeable when releasing the gas.
Thanks to the integrated CNC-milled MAF sensor connector The car retains all original sensors and functionalities. Installation is simple and usually takes less than 20 minutes.
NB: This kit fits exclusively facelift models with the push-and-twist MAF sensor. Not suitable for pre-facelift models with the screw-on MAF sensor.
