The Airtec Motorsport Intercooler for the Ford Puma ST is a larger, freer-flowing intercooler that directly replaces the smaller and more restrictive original unit. The intercooler is suitable for track use and sporty street driving and prevents noticeable performance loss during prolonged hard driving.
Within the limited space behind the bumper, Airtec opted for a full size single-pass core which spans the full width of the grille and is almost three times as high as the original. That results in a 150% larger frontal surface area up from 966 cm² to 2,945 cm², and a substantial increase in volume, allowing the available airflow to be optimally utilized.
The bar-and-plate core measure 80 mm in depth and fits neatly in front of the original crash bar and behind the bumper, without any modifications being necessary.
The extensive kit further consists of the Cast Airtec end tanks, laser-cut mounting brackets and all fastening materials for direct bolt-on mounting. A complete installation manual is included. The finish is satin black.
