Constant performance under heavy loads – this Airtec top mount intercooler has been developed for the Mazda 3 MPS and provides an effective upgrade for both fast road as track use. Especially in tuned cars with increased turbo pressure, the original intercooler can fail, leading to rising intake temperatures and power loss. To prevent this, Airtec has developed a larger and freer-flowing top mount intercooler developed that directly replaces the original, restrictive OEM intercooler. Within the limited space under the hood, a 75 mm thick core which is both wider and higher. This results in a 66% greater total capacity compared to standard, combined with a significantly larger frontal area for more efficient use of the available airflow. The intercooler is equipped with high-flow cast end tanks and a air guide which optimally directs the airflow through the core. Installation is easy, uses the original hose connections and requires no adjustments. The set comes complete with all mounting materials and clear installation instructions.
