Airtec Motorsport oil catch can for the Mini Cooper S R56 with the N14 direct-injection engine, developed as an essential preventive upgrade.
In direct-injection engines, the original crankcase ventilation system can, over time, cause fouling of the intake system, leading to power loss and reduced efficiency. An oil catch can prevents oil vapors and contaminants from being sucked back into the intake. This keeps the intake tract cleaner and carbon deposits on the intake valves significantly reduced. This helps maintain the engine's performance and reliability over time.
The Airtec catch can kit is specifically developed for the R56 Cooper S and makes optimal use of the available space in the engine compartment. The set is mounted with a laser-cut mounting bracket of black powder-coated finish, which ensures that the catch can is placed neatly and securely. The catch can itself is equipped with a internal baffle and a oil dipstick, and is easy to remove for maintenance.
The kit comes complete with all necessary hoses, mounting hardware and clear installation instructions. There is also a optional breather hose (breather hose) available, which is required when used in conjunction with a Airtec induction kit or intake pipe.
NB: This oil catch can is only suitable for pre-2011 Mini Cooper S R56 models with N14 engine and fits not on N18 engines.
