Airtec Motorsport Stage 2 intercooler for the Mini Cooper S R56!
Under prolonged load and increased turbo pressure, the original intercooler can fail, leading to rising intake temperatures and power loss. To prevent this, Airtec has developed a larger and freer-flowing intercooler developed that directly replaces the original OEM intercooler. Within the limited space behind the bumper, a stepped core design, which significantly increases both capacity and frontal area. This allows for optimal use of available airflow and maintains consistent performance, even during intensive use.
The intercooler is equipped with high-flow one-piece cast end tanks and a internal air duct which efficiently directs airflow through the core. This results in significantly higher cooling capacity and better heat dissipation compared to standard.
Assembly is largely plug & play and required no cutting on the bumperIn some cases, slight adjustment of the lower grille may be necessary.
The set comes complete with all necessary mounting materials and clear assembly instructions.
