The 034 Motorsport Camber shim set for the Audi Gen 1 & 1.5 R8 makes it easy to add negative camber to your vehicle. Designed as a modular upgrade, each shim to the maximum camber range that is adjustable by keeping the lower arm distance in the front and rear suspension of your vehicle, which affects both the turn-in and cornering grip of your R8 improves!
What does this mean for you as a driver? By adding negative camber to your Audi R8 Adding this significantly improves grip during entry and cornering, while maximizing the tires’ lateral grip. With this added grip, you’ll enjoy higher cornering speeds, from diving into Turn 2 at Laguna Seca Raceway to sporty driving on twisty roads, thanks to the increased confidence in the grip and lateral g-force your R8 can develop. As cornering loads increase, so does the deformation of the tires and body suspension. This combination increases the load on the outer half of the tire. Increasing the static negative camber counteracts this interaction, allowing the camber to be adjusted to optimize the tire’s contact patch under maximum cornering loads, resulting in improved traction and tire wear. The Audi R8 The factory-installed suspension features double wishbones front and rear, meaning there's an upper and lower arm connecting your wheels to your vehicle. The camber for both the front and rear of the vehicle is controlled by the lower arm and has a limited range of approximately 1.3°Camber shims are added between the lower arm and the frame of your vehicle, which provides an increased overall camber range. You can add up to two shims per lower arm mounting point, which allows for adjustability up to -4.3° negative camber at the front and -3.5° negative camber at the rear makes possible.
