The TTE600 RACE EVO is a carefully developed hybrid upgrade turbo based on the original BorgWarner turbocharger of the Audi RS3 8V.2 / 8Y and TTRS 8S with the 2.5 TFSI EVO engine (DAZA, DNWA, DNWC)This turbo is designed as a safe and reliable first performance step, with emphasis on super-fast response, OEM-like drivability and a clear power gain compared to the standard turbo.
The TTE600 RACE EVO was tested and validated by MTR Performance for approximately one year before release. Tuners reported a faster boost response than the OEM turbo, which makes this upgrade particularly suitable for riders who are not looking for extreme peak power, but do want a fast, consistent and durable setup want. The turbo remains plug & play in combination with a upgrade turbo intake (same size as TTE700).
For this upgrade the original compressor wheel is replaced with a TTE billet-milled aluminum compressor wheel with modern 7+7 blade geometry, which provides a higher air mass and better efficiency. On the exhaust side, a much larger but lighter TTE 9-blade turbine mounted, which reduces exhaust gas back pressure and improves performance. The whole thing is supported by a proven TTE motorsport upgrade bearing package for long-term reliability.
In new turbos TTE uses the latest generation BorgWarner turbochargers, inclusive Audi OEM thermal heat insulation on the manifold and turbine housing to reduce engine compartment temperatures and ensure maximum safety. Each turbo is multiply balanced, inclusive high-speed VSR balancing up to 250,000 rpm, and comes with a numbered balance test report. Software recalibration is required.
