The original turbo inlet elbow starts at the turbo with a diameter of 43 mm and gradually increases to just 53 mm towards the intake manifold. This narrowing creates unnecessary restriction on the intake side, which limits airflow and negatively impacts throttle response.
The Airtec Motorsport replacement elbow is manufactured from cast aluminum and gradually progresses from the turbo connection to an impressive 76 mm diameterThis means an increase of more than 50% in diameter and even 106% more flow area Compared to the original, this larger internal capacity and improved design significantly improve airflow to the turbocharger.
The kit comes with a 76 mm silicone hose, maintaining the enlarged diameter up to the original airbox. All necessary mounting hardware and clear installation instructions are included.
