Airtec Motorsport induction kit for the Mini Cooper S R53 (supercharged 1.6)Developed in-house at AIRTEC HQ in the UK, this kit is specifically designed for the standard supercharged 1.6-liter petrol engine in the R53 Cooper S.

The induction kit replaces the original, restrictive airbox and improves airflow to the compressor. The increased airflow allows the engine to breathe more efficiently, resulting in improved performance and a more distinct induction sound.

The set comes with a Airtec performance air filter, where you can choose between a cotton filter or a foam filter, depending on personal preference and application. Both options offer improved airflow compared to the standard version.

In addition, the kit includes a laser-cut aluminum heat shield With a durable black powder-coated finish. The heat shield helps direct cold air toward the filter and protects against warm air from the engine compartment.

Optionally, the kit can be supplied with a Pro Hoses silicone connection hose, available in various colors to match the appearance of the engine compartment. Installation is complete plug & play and uses the original mounting points without the need for drilling or cutting.

As this is a motorsport product, a slight increase in engine resonance may be noticeable in the interior.
