Airtec Motorsport oil cooler kit for the Mini Cooper S R56, developed for tuned and sporty used cars who have difficulty stable oil temperatures to keep.
Under increased loads and extended driving times, standard oil cooling can become inadequate, which is detrimental to performance and engine reliability. This oil cooler kit is developed and tested in the UK, based on Airtec's extensive experience with oil cooling solutions for both road and track cars.
The challenge was to integrate a large external oil cooler in a position with direct airflow, without major modifications to the car. The result is a complete bolt-on solution where a 13-row Airtec Motorsport oil cooler neatly behind the top grille is mounted. The set comes with a billet aluminum take-off adapter, a custom made laser cut mounting bracket with powder-coated finish and high-quality braided oil lines with Aerotec couplings.
NB: for mounting is light trimming of the upper plastic grille necessary. In addition, this concerns a motorsport product, with a slight increase in engine noise or resonance may be noticeable in the interior.
